SANFORD -- A man convicted of stabbing his estranged wife to death in front of her teenage daughter was sentenced to death Friday by a Seminole County judge.
Tai Pham, 36, a Vietnamese immigrant, was convicted earlier in the year of first-degree murder in the death of Phi Ai "Amy" Pham, 32.
Tai Pham stabbed his estranged wife at least six times in October 2005.
During the trial, Pham's teenage stepdaughter testified he tied up and murdered her mother, but Pham claimed the victim's new boyfriend carried out the attack.
