OCALA -- A sign is raising a lot of eyebrows, with many saying it's offensive to President-elect Barack Obama.

Hercules Fence Company posted the sign that reads "From The Ghetto To The White House. What Next. A Book Or A Movie??"

However, officials with the business said everyone has it wrong. They said it's a congratulatory message for Obama's achievement.

But many people in the community said they don't see it that way.

"I think it's in bad taste,” said Fred Herzog, who is against the sign. “Trying to put down the president and that's quite an achievement, greatest country in the entire world."

The owner's son told News 13 they will remove the sign on Friday and put up a new one. However, it's not because of the complaints. They said they change out the sign once a week.
