VOLUSIA COUNTY -- A bus driver was pulled off the streets after students say a scare tactic on the roads went too far.
Parents of Campbell Middle School students said they were told by their children that the woman stopped the bus over railroad tracks while a train coming so the students would calm down.
The district said the driver is an 11-year veteran.
Her name isn't being released. For now, she's not taking students to and from school.
"The bus driver has right now been stood down,” said Nancy Waite from the Volusia County School District. “What that means is she has been removed from her driving duties. She still is employed but just away from students."
The district also won't release video of what happened. They said it is part of an investigation to determine if there was any wrongdoing.
Meanwhile, there could be more problems for a Brevard County bus driver who was arrested on Friday after a confrontation with a parent.
Alcide Pierre-Louis, 44, was charged with assault after getting into an argument with a parent.
However, investigators said surveillance footage also shows Pierre-Louis urinating into a plastic bottle on the bus, and then dumping it out the back door.
He has also been pulled off the roads while an investigation continues.
