Central Floridians with disabilities are having a terrible time getting to a new bus stop in Orange County.
Carol Kapelki, 47, is confined to a wheelchair. She is forced share the road packed with cars to get to a new bus stop on Lake Underhill Road, near Florida Hospital East, because there is no access to the sidewalk.
On one side there’s mud, with a busy street on the other.
"It’s very important. Some people, because of stress like this, don't go places,” said Kapelki.
The bus stop was moved down the street by the county because of construction.
Orange County owns the land.
A spokesperson admits the bus stop wasn't built to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and they're working to fix the problem.
