A 22-month-old baby is dead after being left for hours in a hot car in Ocoee.
The little girl's mother said she was not doing her normal routine Tuesday and simply forgot the child was in the car when she went to work Tuesday at Ocoee City Hall.
When she returned to the car, she found the baby passed out in her child seat.
"At approximately lunch time, she found the daughter in the vehicle passed out,” said Det. Jim Berish. “She immediately brought her into City Hall to give her aid. The daughter was brought by ambulance to Arnold Palmer Hospital, but unfortunately at the hospital, she was pronounced deceased."
Police said the whole incident is still under investigation.
The city of Ocoee has expressed its sympathy to the family.
