Nighttime panhandling is now banned in the city of Orlando.
On Monday, the city council gave final approval to a new ordinance banning begging from sunset to sunrise.
Supporters, including Orlando police, said the ban will help with safety at night.
Some critics of the plan said this is just the latest attempt by the city to criminalize homelessness.
Either way, the new ban will go into place 10 days from now.
Panhandling during the day in downtown is still limited to areas bound by special blue boxes, even though many of those lines are no longer visible.
