Disney Announces Name Change For MGM Studios

The Disney-MGM Studios will change names in January 2008. It will be called Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Walt Disney World announced the name change in a staff memo Thursday afternoon.
It had long been rumored that the name of the park would change, as Disney's contract with MGM over the naming rights was set to expire.
Disney said the name change will be done in connection with some new rides and shows opening at the park.
