We're learning more about the arrest of state representative Bob Allen as court documents were just released over the incident last month.
Police said Allen offered an undercover police officer $20 for a sex act in the restroom of Spaceview Park in Titusville.
Allen faces one count of solicitation for prostitution.
But, according to the court documents, Allen said it was the police officer who first mentioned the payment and the sex act. Allen said the man also denied being a police officer.
When Allen was questioned by a police corporal, he allegedly said that he felt intimidated by the undercover officer and said it was all just a misunderstanding and then asked the corporal, "I don't suppose it would help if I said I was a state legislator would it?"
Allen and his attorneys said the Merritt Island lawmaker did nothing wrong and it would be up to a jury to decide.
