A prominent local political consultant is among three people dead, the victims of an apparent double murder-suicide in Orange County.
The bodies were found on Thursday after a relative called authorities and asked them to check on the well being of the people at 2420 Hickory Oak Boulevard.
When they arrived, three bodies were found inside.
One of them was Ralph Gonzalez, the president of a local GOP consulting firm. His mother, Eva Kapoor, just can't understand how this could have happened.
"This is such a senseless killing. He was the most wonderful boy in the world. He was always on the go. He had a very successful business. He built this house and he was building another one," Kapoor said.
Kapoor said deputies told her Gonzalez was home with his roommate when a third person came in, shot and killed them both and then took his own life. Deputies have not yet confirmed this information.
Police said the other victims were David Abrami, Gonzalez's roommate, and Robert Drake, who investigators are only calling a friend.
Gonzalez is also the owner of The Strategum Group, a political consulting firm. It has represented clients including State Representative Andy Gardiner, former State Representative Sheri McInvale, former mayoral candidate Pete Barr and State Representative Dean Cannon.
