A new website goes online today, giving parents a chance to check out their children's teachers.
It's part of the state Department of Education's website.
Parents will be able to look up a teacher by name and get a full report of their state misconduct records, including complaints, dispositions and sanctions.
Private school parents may have even more incentive to check out the Web site.
Teachers who have lost their certificates cannot work in public schools, but they can be hired by private schools.
You can check out the database by logging onto the Florida Department of Education at http://www.fldoe.org/edstandards.
