Charges have been dropped against a former lieutenant for the Mt. Dora Police Department, accused of sexual battery on a transsexual.

Earlier this year, James Bronson claimed that Roger Chilton, who was a lieutenant for the Mt. Dora Police Department at the time, gave him a ride in an unmarked police car. Bronson then alleged that Chilton forced him to perform sex acts.

Chilton was facing charges of sexual battery. However, the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office dropped the charges saying there wasn't enough evidence in the case.

Chilton resigned from his post after the allegations became public.
