An Orange County deputy could face disciplinary action after his gun, badge and laptop were stolen from his unmarked car.

Deputies say Captain David Ogden had all the items inside his car when it was broken into in front of the Ogden’s home in Seminole County.

Deputies say the weapon stolen was a 40-caliber handgun. Sheriff's office policy mandates all weapons not to be left in a car.

In November, thieves took a machine gun, assault rifle and a handgun out of an Orange County deputy's SUV.

The weapons were recovered a few days later.
