Two people are under arrest after the Orlando Police Department said they robbed a bicycle cab in downtown Orlando.
Witnesses said two or three men came out of a blue van and robbed people in the cab at gunpoint at Central Boulevard and James Avenue at about 9:30 last night.
Police chased the van down Central to the Reeves Terrace area. Police said one suspect was arrested at the scene, another fled in the van, and after some shots were fired by police, he was also arrested.
"This van, it's my understanding, was involved in a carjacking in Orange County, so anytime you can get these guys like this, and the fact they're going rob people using a handgun, we're just pleased," said Sgt. Barbara Jones of the OPD.
Both suspects arrested face a slew of charges. Police are interviewing the victims to see if another suspect may be out there.
