The Army Corps of Engineers were out Saturday detonated the latest bomb debris found this week at a middle school in East Orange County.
The Corps found 31 pounds of munitions, along with 2,500 pounds of other debris, during the search of the old Pinecastle Jeep Range at Odyssey Middle School.
The work was done while students were on Thanksgiving break, and the Corps said around 50 percent of the search was completed. The recently found munitions are all underground, and the area does not present a hazard to students.
The Corps planned to search the rest of the property next month, when students are off for the holidays.
In the most recent search, several fired missiles were uncovered, along with two rockets that contained explosives.
A search of the nearby areas, including the Tivoli Gardens subdivision, was scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
