A new government report ranks Orlando among the most dangerous in the United States.

The statistics, compiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, show Orlando is the 11th most dangerous city in the country.

The study looked at six basic crime categories including murders, rapes, and robberies to come up with the data.

This year Orlando moved up to 11th after placing 25th last year, and is ahead of other big cities like Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.

Last year, both Orange County and Orlando had record numbers of murders. Unincorporated Orange County has already seen close to 40 more murders this year.

Detroit is the No. 1 city on the government's rankings.

Here's how other Florida cities ranked in the report:

35. Miami
74. Tampa
101. Gainesville
115. Jacksonville
