Disney Sued Over Segway Ban
Monday, May 18, 2009 3:55:38 PM
Three disabled people have filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney World, saying they need the electric scooters to get around.
Disney, as well as SeaWorld, have banned Segways from their parks because they create a safety hazard for guests.
Both theme parks said they meet the needs of disabled guests with wheelchairs and conventional motorized scooters.
The suit, which was filed in federal court Friday, is pushing for nationwide acceptance of the disabled's use of Segways.
