A third person has died after a suspected street race ended with a bad crash in Orange County.
Troopers are still looking for one of the cars.
Investigators said two cars were racing down State Road 50 near Good Homes Road Sunday when they collided.
The crash sent one of the cars into oncoming traffic where it collided head on with a truck. Two people inside were pronounced dead at the scene.
Eleazar Rodriguez, 17, died Sunday night.
The other car left the scene. Troopers said it is a Mitsubishi Eclipse with racing stickers on the driver's side door.
Anyone with information is asked to call Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP is concerned at how daring street drivers are becoming, even going so far as to put their illegal activity on sites like MySpace and You Tube.
"In Hollywood, they wreck at one hundred miles an hour, they unbuckle their seatbelts and walk away," said Trooper Jorge Delahoz. "In real life, if you get in a crash at 80 miles per hour you are going to die."
Delahoz says he's worked at least six street racing deaths since January. Orlando Police have issued 63 tickets for street racing since January. Orange County Government is working on a spectator ordinance to fine anyone watching the activity. In some of these videos, dozens of people sit back and watch drivers in action.
No one can really say why street racing has become so popular lately, however some speculate it could get worse.
Last month the fourth district court of appeals out of West Palm Beach ruled the Florida statute on street racing was unconstitutional. That means in the case of the two cars that crashed over the weekend, police could issue tickets for street racing and the violator has more ground to get their ticket thrown out of court.
