Two thousand people took to the streets in Downtown Orlando Saturday, participating in an anti-war protest.
Dozens of groups sang, spoke, and shouted in favor of U.S. troops leaving Iraq. Sen. Mike Gravel, a strong anti-war candidate for president, kicked things off in Lake Eola Park Saturday afternoon.
Protestors were thrilled that so many Floridians attended.
"Last time we went we had to go all the way to D.C.,” said Doreen Leone from Daytona Beach. “For this to be local is just great."
The protest was held in conjunction with several others around the nation.
