The wife of a Lake County deputy is in trouble with the law, accused of illegal selling prescription drugs.

Georgetta Palmer was Tuesday afternoon and taken to the Lake County Detention Center.
    
Deputies said they used an informant, who purchased several prescription drugs from Palmer, including Xanax and Lexapro.
   
The deputies said they also found 40 containers of pills at work.
    
Palmer's husband has been a deputy with the sheriff's office for nine years. He's been suspended with pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
