A new report out shows Florida ranks third in the country when it comes to homelessness.
The report from the National Alliance to End Homelessness group, is the first national estimate of homelessness in a decade.
According to the report there were 744,000 homeless people in the U.S. In 2005, nearly 61,000 of them lived right here in Florida. The report also adds that most of the homeless were single adults, and the other 41 percent were in families.
California led the nation with more than 170,000 homeless followed by New York, which has over 61,000 homeless.
