Florida Gator fans are showing their true colors in the weeks before the big game.
One local business shows off the orange and blue year-round. However, this month workers are even more revved up about their favorite team.
News 13's Paul Milliken walked into Colonial Auto Body to find a story and walked out seeing orange and blue in our latest installment of the Gator Game Book.
At Colonial Auto Body, you could get your car painted just about any color. But if you leave it up to the staff, your car might end up orange and blue.
"The original owner was a big Gator fan, and we just kept the tradition," John Mason said.
Around the office, there are Gator clocks, plaques, posters, plushes, plates, and even plate-glass. The wood panel is covered in orange and blue, and so is the staff. All of them say they're die-hard Florida fans.
"If you're not, you keep it quiet," Mason said.
But you would know the folks here are Gator fans before you even set foot in the office. Out front, you're greeted by an orange and blue monster of a trailer.
Workers here are already planning a January 8th viewing party, and you can imagine what a party this place will be if the Gators walk away national champs.
Mason said: "Extremely excited, extremely. It would be nice to have two championships in one year - basketball and football."
Although the Gator battle flag greets customers, take heart Buckeyes. Workers here don't discriminate against rival fans.
“They walk lightly, though," Mason said.
So if you need a vehicle fix up, you better start practicing your Gator chomp now.
