A 1,900-acre fire has closed a large stretch of Interstate 95 in Brevard County. Meanwhile, fire crews continue to battle other fires in Palm Bay, Cocoa, and Daytona Beach.

Sentencing is set for Monday for a man convicted of burning his 17-year-old girlfriend to death. Dane Abdool was convicted of dousing the girl with gas and lighting her on fire, because he thought she was pregnant. An autopsy confirmed she was not.
