A new workout promises high intensity, toning and getting up that heart rate -- all using a chair.
"It is intense, kick booty intense," said pilates instructor Diana Maves.
"If you feel like you really have to be strong, you'll see," added fellow instructor Kelley Ranaudo.
I took the chair pilates class at the Fitness Studio in Orlando. The class not only focuses on strength and tightening your core -- your ab muscles -- but it is an overall workout that gets the heart pumping.
Just ask Rebecca Davis, a fellow participant who said this is a shorter workout with bigger benefits.
"I had a baby. Quickest way to get back into shape," Davis said.
"I think guys have more of an issue with flexibility, and that's where it kicked in a lot more for me," said Roland Cotardo, a participant.
The workout also helps improve back strength.
