Your pet is sick and you need to give your dog or cat medicine, maybe even twice a day.

For most pet owners, that means getting creative.

There is a new one dose antibiotic injection out.

It's called Convenia and it works with just one shot at a Vets office. This is a convenient alternative for pet owners.  It helps alleviate one of the biggest issues, which is getting people to use the medicine correctly.

"It's so hard to give your pet medicine and if you don't give the right dose it can affect their health," said Dr. Rob Hess, with the Winter Park Veterinary Hospital.

So far, doctors are seeing great results, especially for skin infections.  They also say there are no side effects.

The size of your pet will depend on the price. It's best to contact your vet if you have any questions.

Convenia is the third in a string of new medicines to help the health of your pet.
