You may have heard that an apple a day can keep the doctor away, but did you know eating 1 apple before meals can keep the weight away, too?

There is nothing magical about an apple. It doesn’t change your metabolism or suck the fat out of your food -- it just fills you up quickly.

Apples are low in calories, virtually fat free and full of filling fiber. So the theory is that if you eat an apple before your meal, you’re likely to eat less, since you’ll be full faster.
