It Is illegal to drive with a blood alcohol content level of more than .08 in the state of Florida, but when it comes to drinking and driving there are a lot of other numbers you should know, too.
The University of Florida did a study on drunk driving and it showed that half of all automobile deaths in the United States involve alcohol.
In fact, there is an alcohol-related death every 33 minutes nationwide.
The cost associated with a DUI is estimated to be as much as $15,000.
And .08 isn't a magic impairment number, either. Your probability of having a crashes rises significantly after your blood alcohol reaches .05.
How much alcohol it takes to get you there is different for everyone, though, so always make sure to have a designated driver.
