WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The Class of 2008 is inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Saturday, March 29, 7 p.m.
Amway Arena, All seats: $55.
The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is an emotional, star-studded event that recognizes the in-ring achievements of the inductees, and offers historical insights into this century-old sports-entertainment attraction.
History is made as "the Nature Boy" Ric Flair becomes the first active wrestler to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Flair is recognized by WWE as a 16-time world champion.
In addition, former Superstar The Rock will present his father, "Soulman" Rocky Johnson, and his late grandfather, "High Chief" Peter Maivia, for induction.
The rest of the Class of 2008 includes women's wrestling pioneer and first-ever NWA United States Women's Champion Mae Young, the tag team of brothers Gerald and Jack Brisco, and Championship Wrestling from Florida promoter, booker and 18-time champion Eddie Graham, who will be inducted posthumously by Dusty Rhodes.
In the audience to honor these legends will be all of the current WWE Superstars, and thousands of fans from around-the-world.
Past WWE Hall of Fame inductees have included Hulk Hogan, former Minnesota Gov. Jesse “the Body” Ventura, Andre the Giant, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Bret “Hit Man” Hart, Jim Ross, Sgt. Slaughter, the Fabulous Moolah, and Jimmy “the Mouth of the South” Hart.
