Some 7th graders from Memorial Middle School are already walking on the University of Central Florida's campus like college students.

"It's cool. You get to walk around and see students, you get to ask them questions," said Etorria Pridgen, a student from Memorial Middle School.

"I really just want to know their routine around here -- what do they do, what they study around here," said Ruth-Ann Robinson, another 7th grader.

"We're taking them all over the place.  They're going to see so many different presentations from all types of majors from around the college -- financial aid presentations, resource center presentations and they get to ask us all the questions," said Stephanie Rash, a UCF student.

It is all a part of the Junior Achievement program, which helps youth learn about financial literacy, workforce readiness and leadership skills. The UCF College Shadow Day is in its fourth year of giving kids an inside look at how college works.

"It's important for these students to see there is something beyond high school, something beyond middle school and right in our own backyard is this wonderful university," said Gary Blanchette, the Junior Achievement president.

"It helped me figure out what I really wanted to be, because before I even started Junior Achievement, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up.  But when I started, I started to realize what I wanted to do," Robinson said.

Robinson said she wantst to be an archeologist a little more clearer.

The Junior Achievement program is for students starting in elementary school, all the way up to high school.

Volunteers normally go out to the school once a month for an hour, integrating a lot of the information into the social studies curriculum.
