When the wind blows, debris flies. However, Gary Hollif thinks a box of screws may keep your hurricane shutters on tight.

I talked with Gary Hollif, salesman for Storm Tite. Hollif told me that in Australia they have cyclones. I asked him what a cyclone was.

"Identical to a hurricane. We had one three weeks ago. Flattened three whole towns," Hollif said

Cyclones or Hurricanes, Gary Hollif from "down under" is ready to plug the benefits of his plugs.

"This is a Hurricane screw, but very ugly," Hollif said

Gary stands behind his "Storm Tite" screws for metal roofs and hurricane shutters.

"This one fits all profiles of roofing. The installation of it is totally simple for the home handyman," Hollif said

Hiding on the back of the 1-inch to 7-inch screws rests a rubber washer. The washer is designed to bend, forming a seal over the hole and preventing moisture from seeping in.

"It molds to the actual profile. It just doesn't leak," Hollif said

They also come in 28 designer colors. The traditional house will cost about $300 U.S. to retro fit.
