If you want to liven up your summer nights the Orlando Science Center is back to heat up your July with Big, Bang, Live.
With all the explosive fun it’s only appropriate the event kicks off on July 4th, but residents can enjoy the action all month long.
“The show really is to explain what really creates an explosion, what causes a bang, and then we're going to do a lot of things to create bangs, and then we are going to show the difference between a Hollywood explosion, and a real explosion," said Brett “Buzz” Dawson, also known as Dr. Boom.
And unlinke in Hollywood these explosions are up close and personal. The 40-minute show is sure to amaze, with big booms you can see, hear and feel.
With all these colorful explosions it may tempt some people to give it a try. But the show not only entertains, it also educates children on the dangers of explosives, and Dr. Boom stresses don’t try these at home.
"But also try to teach them as well, not only the science behind it, but how dangerous the stuff can really be," said Dawson.
"This whole show is about shock and no pun, and 'awwww! Wow!!' and so everybody has got 10 earplugs that they were born with, so they can put them in ears, and wait for the things to go off," said Dawson.
As the crowd waits in anticipation for the big bang, for Dr. Buzz, he says it’s him that needs those earplugs.
"Well, lets just say that I need ear plugs, not for the explosions, but from the roaring kids! It's a lot of fun. They really enjoy it," says Dawson.
The event is every Saturday night in July at 7pm. For more information visit the Orlando Science Center website.
