In a Central Florida on Demand exclusive, we have just learned what could be the new name for Church Street Station.
Tremont Capital, which is operating Church Street Station, told Central Florida On Demand it wants to rename it Church Street Entertainment & Dining District.
Tremont also said they’re confident they will fill the four vacancies by the time the new Amway Center opens up in spring 2010.
They said the four tenants are very recognizable names.
Meanwhile, a huge auction is Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
George Eouse, the CEO of World of Décor and auction organizer, said this auction is rare because everything must go. So if no one bids on a “reasonable” minimum, then they’ll just take the best offer!
For instance, if no one bids initially on the huge Rosie O'Grady's sign many of you may remember, it could go for a penny.
“This is an authentic sign that came off Bob’s [Snow] personal hangar,“ Eouse said. “Just about everything will be familiar to someone who's been part of coming into Rosie O'Grady's or Cheyenne Saloon."
Eouse is speaking of Bob Snow, who built and ran Orlando's Church Street Station during its heyday.
Ceviche and Dessert Lady will be catering the auction. Food and drinks are free. There will also be giveaways at the door.
The feisty “Sofia,” played by Felicia Fields, made one thing clear when she stopped by our studios Wednesday.
"My whole thought about the show is that if you come in here and you don't feel something by the time you leave, you need to check into the hospital and have your pulse checked," Fields said.
One of the show-stopping moments is when Fields' character gets saucy with her husband.

See and hear what Fields' thinks about it in our entire interview on Central Florida On Demand, Digital Cable Channel 300. You can also meet Disney's newest princess Tiana.
