LAKE BUENA VISTA -- Many Disney fans said they were disappointed to hear that Epcot was pulling the plug on its Lights of Winter display this year, but there is certainly no shortage of holiday cheer around Walt Disney World.

Decorating for the holidays takes a whole new meaning at Disney, where it takes months to deck the halls and streets of all the theme parks and resorts.

Disney helped News 13 crunch the numbers on its annual holiday decorating process:

6

Disney’s pastry chefs have cooked up six larger than life creations, including a gingerbread house standing 16-feet gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and a gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, complete with chocolate ponies and giant candy cane poles.

1,050

That’s how many pounds of honey was used to bake the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian.

737

That’s how many decorated trees you’ll find throughout the entire Walt Disney World property.

300,000

The length in yards of ribbon and bows draped over those 737 Christmas trees.

10

The length in miles of lights stringed up to complete the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

150

Take all the decorations from everywhere in Walt Disney World, and that is how many tractor-trailer truckloads it takes to store it all.

15

The length in miles of garland you’ll find throughout the resort.

1,314

That’s how many wreaths you’ll count hanging all around Disney property.

8,500,000

The number of lights strung throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

11

The number of countries dressed for Holidays Around the World at Epcot’s World Showcase. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s all of them.

26

That’s how many feet wide the base of the Christmas tree is at the Magic Kingdom.
