ORLANDO -- The WWE keeps promising one thing for WrestleMania 24 at the Citrus Bowl -- something you've never seen before.
We first showed you the beginning stages of the mania make-over Monday. From the ground and the air crews hauled in equipment, building massive set pieces from steal beams.
“Actually to have an event like ours in a stadium which has no place to hang lighting or sound or anything, we really do have to construct this infrastructure to support all of that,” said Linda McMahon, the CEO for WWE.
The largest undertaking is the grand entrance -- the stage where the WWE superstars will walk out into the arena to tens of thousands of screaming fans.
There are two enormous television screens on either side of the stage, with the title banner towering from the center. Below that in a half circle is another section of monitors. In fact, the whole thing is made up with monitors.
We also caught a lighting test for the squared circle. The giant tent-like structure is also filled with television screens all the way around. That structure was built for several reasons -- the TV’s, plus lighting, sound and just in case it rains.
As for any other details, WWE CEO Linda McMahon remains tight lipped,
“And, of course, I can't have any predictions, only that not always the best man wins, but sometimes,” said McMahon.
She does promise a spectacular show with plenty of pyrotechnics.
“So you do not want to be on that top row or the blimp flying overhead. That would be all right actually. It would be a great bird’s eye view,” said McMahon.
