Hey John, what's going on?
Central Florida On Demand's John Handiboe chatted with Alfred Molina -- the star of movies like "The Da Vinci Code" and "Spider Man 2." Molina is now starring in the television miniseries "The Company."
John: "With over 70 film, television and theater productions under his belt, Alfred Molina joins us from Los Angeles. Alfred you are now embarking on what's being called a television event: 'The Company.'"
Alfred: "Yes, and I think that is, that particular hyperbole fits very well. It's a sweeping epic of a story covering the whole cold war from the of World War II right up to that momentous moment we all witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall."
John: "You are working along side Chris O'Donnell and Michael Keaton. You think they could have found some talent to work with you, I mean, come on!"
Alfred: "You'd think (laughing). Knowing Chris and Michael were involved was a big part of the attraction, obviously, because you know that when you have actors like that already on board you are dealing with some quality material and it is going to be interesting."
John: "Night two is coming up and it's an action thriller they say. It is based on the Hungarian Uprising of 1956 and the Bay of Pigs. What are people going to see?"
Alfred: "Essentially, that. This Sunday, the second installment is very much in the "Bourne Ultimatum" sort of mode. It's a lot of action. A lot of thrills and spills and it looks at two dramatic, two very, very important moments in sort of contemporary history where the world was really in the brink of what could have been total annihilation."
"The Company's" last two episodes air on TNT Sunday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug.19.
