Just as the socialite plans her exit strategy from prison, the owner of Club Paris in Orlando is taking away her ride. News 13's John Handiboe has the exclusive details.
Paris Hilton was given the keys to a one of a kind Ferrari 360 Spyder at the opening of Club Paris in Orlando two years ago.
“This car is about a quarter of a million dollars and spent about $150,000 on it,” Fred Khalilian said.
Those big bucks for chic upgrades including the pink leather crown embroidered with the club's name.
“This car, when it left Orlando, it was just gorgeous,” Khalilian said.
Now the owner of Club Paris says it's trashed.
It came back with dings, dents, and scratches.
“This is either Lindsay Lohan, Kimberly Stewart, all these rich kids that get in the car with her, they just yank it into whatever they want, bang,” Khalilian said. “It is just a shame.”
Khalilian says he was forced to repossess the Italian stallion after he says the party princess refused to hand it over.
“It took us a week to find it,” Khalilian said. “Apparently she had it hidden at her parents’ house.”
Hidden in the car, Khalilian found over $8,000 in receipts for repairs charged to his company. But the biggest surprise came in the ashtray.
“She had some stuff you know that should not be in there,” Khalilian said.
Stuff, he says, of the illegal kind.
Khalilian says he properly documented "the green stuff," as he waits for a second car he seized from the hotel heiress, a Mercedes.
“That's the [Mercedes] SLR she was arrested in,” Khalilian said. “It will be here next week.”
First it was the Ferrari that Khalilian repossessed. Now he is waiting for the Mercedes to make its way back to Orlando. I think we will test drive that one too.
Paris is set to be released from jail Monday after serving 23 days on a DUI charge.
