Ross stars in a new Hallmark Movie and is working on a TV
pilot.
Hey John! What's Going On?
You probably remember her as one of America's favorite moms.
Marion Ross, who played Mrs. Cunningham on "Happy Days, is
starring in a new television movie. Plus, we could see her in a new
tv sitcom.
John: "Marion you'll have to forgive me. I still want
to call you Mrs. C."
Marion: "I love being called Mrs. C. and I think you've
grown up to be such a nice boy."
John: "Now you're in a new Hallmark Movie called
"Where There's A Will" and you play a strong willed
grandmother."
Marion: "I did not read the script and I didn't know I
was going to play an older lady."
John: "One of my favorite scenes that I saw is when you
were sitting in your chair and grasped the flyswater. What is it
with grandmothers and their flyswaters and they know how to use
them."
Marion: "You betcha. I tell you don't cross that old
lady she is really very fiesty. The story is about, they find a
grandson. It is the only relative she has anywhere and she has a
bit of money and this young grandson, played by Frank Whaley, he is
on the run from the law and you think how are these two going to
work this out."
John: "Now you are working on a couple of other projects: A
television pilot and a play."
Marion: "Yeah, I have a pilot with NBC with Jay Mohr. Now
instead of doing a sitcom with three cameras, this is done with one
camera and because he's a scallywag he's either got to go
to jail or do 500 hours of community service. So each week he's
going to be doing another thing, it's not all about picking up
trash on the highway. It is very funny stuff and I get to play sort
of a babe."
John: "A Babe?"
Marion: "A babe, yes!"
John: "Well Marion it was a pleasure speaking with you
today and we look forward to seeing "Where There's a
Will" this weekend."
Marion: "Thank You so much."
John: "You take care."
Marion: "Bye."
