On The Brink Of Budget Cuts Principal Asks Parents For Money
Friday, March 13, 2009 9:35:01 AM
ORLANDO -- Florida budget cuts are prompting the principal of Audubon Park Elementary School to ask parents for some financial help.
The school is facing a $500,000 cut in next year's budget.
Principal Trevor Honohan estimates that 52 percent of the students' parents have the ability to make some sort of financial donation. He's asking those families to donate $500 to the school.
He expects the budget cuts will lead to layoffs of several teachers at the school.
