The additional tax Florida resident had to pay at the grocery store for recycling came to an end.
The tax was called the Advanced Disposal Fee.
It was in place for two years and the money was used to give a break to companies who used recycled materials in their products.
When the fee ended, the price for jugs of milk and six packs dropped by 12 cents.

Walt Disney World opened its gates for the first time.
People flocked the Orlando area to visit the Magic Kingdom, and thousands moved here permanently to work at the park.
The growth triggered a big demand for all types of tourist related facilities and services.
During its first year, more than 11 million people visited the Magic Kingdom.

The John B. Stetson University College of Law opened in DeLand.
Classes in Florida's first law school took place in a building financed anonymously by oil magnate Henry Flagler, on land donated by hatmaker John B. Stetson.
The law school, now named the Stetson University College of Law, was moved from the DeLand campus to the Tampa Bay Area in 1954.
It's since expanded and now includes two campuses.
October 3, 1904
Mary McCleod Bethune started her school.
At first, the Daytona Education and Industrial Training School for Negro Girls was small. It only had five students and operated out of a small wooden home.
Over the years, the school underwent several changes.
In 1923, it became a co-ed high school. A year later, the school became affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
In 1931, the school became known as Bethune Cookman College.
October 4, 1928
City leaders dedicated the Orlando Municipal Airport.
Yet, the name did not last.
In 1961, the Orlando Municipal Airport changed names to Herndon Airport in memory of Pat Herndon, who served the city for many years as Superintendent of Public Works.
Today, Herndon Airport is better known as Orlando Executive Airport.
October 5, 1957
Orlando's Centennial Fountain in Lake Eola flowed for the first time during a formal dedication.
The fountain is 60 feet wide and 18 feet tall.
Water from five nations, representing the countries that ruled Florida in early history was poured into the basin, blending with the waters of Lake Eola.
October 6, 1990
At 7:47 a.m., space shuttle Discovery thundered into orbit amid cheers, tears, and signs of relief from NASA.
The clean liftoff brought to a close several rough years in the shuttle program's history.
Several missions faced maintenance problems, while a faulty part plagued the Hubble Space Telescope.
The problems cost NASA millions of dollars.
Discovery's long anticipated three-day mission released the deep space probe Ulysses without a hitch.
