Reported by Lisa Bell

OCALA -- Marion County firefighters were called to a house fire Sunday in the Silver Springs Shores area.

They arrived within three minutes and found smoke pouring from the roof.

Two residents standing outside told firefighters everyone had made it out safely, but firefighters continued to search the home and found a 19-year-old man unresponsive inside.

The teen was taken to Munroe Regional Hospital for possible smoke inhalation.

After extinguishing the fire, officials spoke with residents, who said they didn’t think the teen was there, because they had tried to call him earlier in the day and he didn’t answer.
