Lisa Bell, Central Floridian of the Week
Six people received the Orange County Mayor's Heroes Award this week. The men and women all helped save lives in the last year.
Three of the six heroes were involved in a single incident, where they saved a boy's life.
Rob Modeszto, 15, collapsed on Timber Creek High School's baseball field last March.
Modeszto's mother, Robin, gave her son CPR, along with Rick Stanly and Samuel Mizener, who used an automatic defibrillator on the boy.
In July, Alberto Morales provided gave first aid to a patient who was severely cut while getting out of a fire.
James Dillen and Robert Peck pulled a woman and her dogs from her burning home just a few weeks ago.
That is why the six recipients of the Orange County Mayor's Heroes Award are also our Central Floridians of the Week.
