Tiffany Greene, Building Community
Who knew Central Florida hosted the second largest office party in the state?
It is not your normal party. This shindig is for runners only, as the Insurance Office of America Corporate 5K is in its 14th year.
Each time, it gets bigger and better.
More than 10,000 people put on their running shoes to help several local charities.
Participants said it was a great time to stay in shape, network and unite with their co-workers.
"It's a team building thing, you know, getting everybody out of the office and doing something different than the daily stuff, and it's good cause," said Barry Wilcox, a participant in the 5K run.
More than $60,000 will be given to charities through the Track Shack Foundation.
The money will help kids go to summer camp, start their first job, have safe places to hang out, and even give them help with schoolwork.
