ORLANDO -- A decaying housing market continues to make headlines as Florida now ranks second in the nation for the number of foreclosures. That's according to a new report by Foreclosure.com.
Florida recorded 18,946 foreclosures in March. That's a 33 percent increase from February.
In addition, the report shows that for the first time in six months, Florida lost its standing as the state with the most pre-foreclosures, dropping slightly behind California.
In Florida, about 52,000 thousand homeowners entered the first stage of the foreclosure process in March, while 60,000 did in California.
